Case Study: Yosemite Conservancy

Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park is one of the most iconic and highly visited tourist attractions in the United States, with people traveling from all over the globe to take in its majestic vistas. But the area had deteriorated through the years and the National Park Service didn’t have the funds to upgrade the trails, visitor center, gift shop, bathrooms and outdoor amphitheater.

Challenge

We needed to tell the story of a unique partnership between the public, corporate, non-profit and private sectors to rebuild this breathtaking setting without government funding.

Solution: Documentary Film

Acting as the Executive Producer, Paul wrote and directed Partners to the Land, an award-winning film that documented the restoration project from the groundbreaking to the dedication ceremony, with multiple shoots over the period of a year and a half, The film used rare historical footage and photos to highlight the grandeur and history of the iconic setting at Glacier Point, highlighting the collaborative effort between park officials, the concessionaire, a non-profit and private donor, plus interviews with visitors from across the globe. This project captured the dedication, spirit and pride, which ensured that the physical structures at Glacier Point would match its natural splendor for generations to come.
